Cochran and Hargis collaborated on the renovation of The Haring Center, a 43,000-square-foot facility at the University of Washington, transforming spaces for kindergarten, pre-K, and toddlers. Utilizing integrated design-build services, we established a Basis of Design and benchmarking during project definition, delivered iterative design with ongoing Target Cost Analysis, and developed project-specific system criteria. Advanced BIM 3D modeling was employed to enhance aesthetics, constructability, and safe access.Through value engineering and “Value Add” scope development, we maximized efficiency and cost-effectiveness, ensuring that the renovated facility meets the unique educational needs of its users.
