Pop Multimedia | Cochran

Cochran performed the Communications and Audio/Visual work on Pop Multimedia’s new corporate headquarters in downtown Seattle, and has continued our relationship past project completion, performing moves, adds, and changes and introducing our electrical service department to their facility with great success.

The original project consisted of installing innerduct and laser optimized multimode fiber form the 8th to the 3rd floor without adequate access or infrastructure. The space constraints and logistics of the building required innovative construction techniques in order to get the job done. We used an out of commission elevator shaft, with the only access through a 2x2 opening, to route 80 feet of backbone tie cabling. Pathway was a continual issue with the larger CAT6A cable and we worked in close coordination with the original electrical contractor to make sure all of our cabling would fit in the available space. Scheduling was very tight and we were flexible and worked with all parties to coordinate our work and get the project done on time.
